Employee Rights

  • You have the right to notify TOSHA about workplace hazards. You may request that TOSHA keep your name confidential.
  • You have the right to request a TOSHA inspection if you believe there are unsafe conditions in your workplace. You or your representative may participate in that inspection.
  • You have the right to file a complaint with TOSHA or bring civil action in the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court within 180 days if you believe you have been discharged or otherwise discriminated against by an employer for making safety and health complaints
  • You have the right to see TOSHA citations issued to your employer. Your employer must post the citation at or near the place of the alleged violations.
